This year we have paired up with Magdelene College School and their music department to try and extend our wonderful provision beyond our current offer.

At the moment, children learn violins in Y3, but after that it is up to them to continue to follow this passion.

We have invited in Sixth Form students from MCS to work 1:1 with children from Y4 and Y5 who showed promise and engagement in their violin playing in previous years.

We have also been able to introduce some children to the piano, and extend others who learn outside of school.

And this week, we pulled an old drum kit out of a cupboard and let our children learn on that too!
