Curiosity Cube

The first of three class visits

Today Y5 walked down to Greyfriars school (well St Frideswide's because Greyfriars was shut) to visit the Curiosity Cube (well Curiosity Tent because the Cube couldn't fit at the primary school)

The visit was great, the workshops were led by a team from Merck, a global science company, and volunteers from Oxford's Chemistry Department.

We got to investigate fast fashion, looking through microscopes at the fabric our clothes are made from, then weaving these fabrics into bracelets. We also got to create energy from wind to power lights!

It was a great morning, and then we were all given special goggles to be scientists!
