This week year 5 spent the day in a science lab.

The theme was COLOUR. Students tested chemicals to check if it was an acid or an alkali.

They also did some work with Chromatography: ie is a black pen really black? And they did flame tests, burning metal solutions to see their characteristic colour.

What a day!

A photographer from The Oxford Mail was there, so hopefully we will see some smiling faces jumping out from the newspaper next week.

Our partnership is proving to be a big success and we look to build it further even more.
