ESFA South West Finals

On a cold, wet and windy Saturday, Mr Higgins and a team of Year 5/6 pupils (with wind swept parents in tow) ventured to deepest darkest Somerset to take part in the Pokemon ESFA South West finals as the champions of Oxfordshire.

We had a fantastic day, the wind and mud stopped us from playing our usual flowing football.

We managed a record of W1 D2 L1 throughout the day, and represented both the school and county with great pride.

This is the furthest St John  Fisher have got in the competition in ‘staff memory’ – which is a pretty long time considering some of their service records.

All of the boys were incredible, and each played their role excellently.

Fingers crossed our two Year 5s can get us there again next year.
