Zebra Crossing!
Our crossing is open
I am sure you have all noticed that our crossing is finally open.
The school have been petitioning for one for over 30 years, and when I joined the school, my first phone calls were met with replies that the road was too dangerous for a lollipop person (yet was fine for our children!)
Persistence is key, and working with local and parish councillors, and not taking no for a answer, has meant that FINALLY it has arrived.
The crossing will still be here long after all of our children have left this school, the benefits will last for generations to come.
I know the roadworks were a nuisance - but it was worth it!
